9. Microsoft Forms

We use the information collected through Microsoft Forms to improve our offerings, conduct customer surveys and increase customer satisfaction. We strive to make the surveys anonymous and data protection-friendly.

Information on using Microsoft Forms can be found at:

https://support.microsoft.com/de-de/office/sicherheit-und-datenschutz-in-microsoft-forms-7e57f9ba-4aeb-4b1b-9e21-b75318532cd9

https://privacy.microsoft.com/de-de/privacystatement

When using “Microsoft Forms” different types of data are processed. The extent of the data depends on the questions asked and answered. Participation in surveys is voluntary and possible without user registration with Microsoft. Based on the survey results, the processor carries out anonymous evaluations that have no connection to the person surveyed.

The data of users from the European Union is processed in data centers within the European Economic Area (EEA). However, in order to provide the service and as part of support, it may be necessary for data to be stored at the headquarters of Microsoft Inc. processed in the USA. The EU standard contractual clauses are contractually agreed for data transfers to third countries. According to Art. 46 Para. 2 lit. c GDPR represents a guarantee for an adequate EU level of data protection. We would like to inform you that, according to the case law of the ECJ, the USA is currently not a safe third country within the meaning of EU data protection law. Due to surveillance laws in the USA, US service providers may be obliged to hand over personal data to security authorities without those affected being able to lodge a legal remedy against this. It cannot therefore be ruled out that US authorities, such as secret services, will process, evaluate and permanently store your data on servers of US service providers for monitoring purposes. We have no influence on these processing activities.

Therefore, Microsoft has taken additional technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. In particular, personal data via Forms is only transmitted in encrypted form. In addition, Microsoft has contractually agreed to legally defend requests for publication from US authorities as far as possible. Therefore, it can generally be assumed that there is an adequate level of protection when processing personal data by Microsoft.
